Fried Festivities

All the necessities for a fun day at the fair......

Fried Zuchini, Fried Onion and Fried Chicken platter...the fair special!
Cinnamon Rolls, Ice Cream, and Shakes.........Check!
Since it's probably considered harsh & inhumane to display abnormally large humans now-a-days, instead, pay to see the insanely large steer and horse, because you just can't seem to fight the temptation.
Even though it's a dollar per person to see each!
Make sure that there's some good exhibits with seats to rest your weary feet. I'm pretty sure that spa guy thinks he made a sell. Sorry to dissapoint.

And you can't forget the foot massage to top it off!
Add that to all the endless people watching there is to be had,(seriously where do these people come from) I'm pretty sure counties fairs are the the modern mixing pots of America. We hit all the highlights, came home a little greasier, and all in all had a great time.

A New Chore

The last month or so I've been avoiding a "real" grocery trip for 2 reasons... they look so cute and innocent don't they?

Now I know many would probably label me crazy for ever liking grocery shopping in the first place, but I really did (emphasis on did) Ever since being married and setting up shop, I've loved my grocery trips. Even more so when I had just Carson, it was such a good excuse to get out of the house on a slow day. I love finding new finds, bringing home too much junk food, but I especially love the challenge of getting the best deals possible. Well getting good deals requires a little more time, and with two kids my time limits have clearly expired. Carson has always been pretty mellow so it never was a chore with him...Enter Brynlee as a toddler....times have changed! Now don't get me wrong, it's not all her, they definitely collaborate and use all their best antics to create the most un-ideal shopping trip. The food I always end up opening mid-trip to keep them happy no longer seems to work it's magic. I've never been one to shop at night when Matt is home, cause grocery shopping is sooo not worthy of trumping any husband time, not to mention the end of day exhaustion. The solution: we'll either eat whatever we can get on 5 minute mini shopping trips here and there for a few essentials, start digging into to food storage, or forego a little husband time to do "real" shopping once in a while. The jury's still out!

Happy Dads Day

Happy Fathers Day to both our Dad's! We Love you so much and are so thankful for all you have taught us throughout our lives and for the examples you have been. We are who we are today because of you! We are especially thankful to live so close to both of you so our kids can have your influence in their lives as well. They absolutely adore their Grandpa's

And to the best husbad and dad in the universe....Happy Father's Day Matty Boy! I could not have dreamt of a more perfect person to raise our little family with. You are the most perfect, fun, talented, loving, goofy, smart, caring and hilarious dad in the world. Carson and Brynlee can never get enough of you and neither can I! You keep us laughing, but are also such an amazing example in everything you do. Carson loves EVERYTHING about you. He truly is your mini-me, following your every move, and he could not have a better role model. And Brynlee is such a daddy's girl. She talks about you about 20 times more than anyone, and if she could talk all day on the phone to you, she would. We Love you more than anything in the world!!!

See you in A Couple

My cute little brother Trevor is checking into the MTC today and heading off to the Guam, Micronesia mission in a few weeks!
We're going to miss him A TON...especially his display of speedos in the coming summer months :) But are so proud of the choices he's made and the guy he's become. What an awesome role model for my own little man, who I know totally looks up to his Uncle Trevor. We LOVE you!!!

SWEET TYLENOL
On a totally different note, other than the fact that these pictures were taken the same day as the ones above, explaining why Carson looks a little woozy in all, here's my personal advertisement for Children's Tylenol. Here's what a poor little guy with 101-103 temp looks like. Staying on the couch for about 6 hrs with a fever on Sunday, until my mom decided to run to the drug store to get Tylenol. You know the guy wasn't feeling well when he rejected ALL food and drink including ice cream & popsicles, and wouldn't move!
10 Minutes after the first dose of Tylenol. First thing he wants to do is eat dessert and ride his bike.
If only the Tylenol lasted more than a couple hrs!
